Tom Albano was born an artist. As a youngster, Tom began drawing and painting at an early age. Eager to be the best, he turned to those who could teach him the intricacies of his craft. Born and raised on the southwest side of Chicago, all of his formal training was at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and The American Academy of Art. He also learned art skills as he emerged as a leader in the world of commercial advertising. The evolution of this artist turned the talent he loved into a lucrative career as an Advertising Art Director whose clients included Kraft Foods, Kroger Supermarkets, Land O'Lakes, Quaker Oats, Mc Donalds, Midway Airlines to name a few. Tom's art career has carried the label " V.P. Executive Art Director" with more than 25 years under his belt at two of Chicagoland's leading advertising agencies.Tom is now President of his own company, The Town & Country Artist, and watercolor is the medium of choice for this artist. Albano is commissioned to do renderings of his client's homes and businesses and landscapes. Also he has portrayed a backyard fish pond, a few boats and beloved pets with his fluid art.
Tom has taught at the Beverly Art Center in Chicago and The Young Rembrandts, a after school drawing program for children ages 4 to11.
He is also a Member of the Illinois Watercolor Society and the Transparent Watercolor Society of America.
When he's not at his drawing board, you'll probably find him out in the forest preserves sketching or photographing nature.
Tom's paintings are priced from $150 to $800 depending on the subject matter.
